Discover Pharmacy Camp 2024

If you’re a high school junior or senior this fall who’s considering majoring in pharmacy, learn more at Discover Pharmacy, a two-day camp offered by ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥app’s Nesbitt School of Pharmacy. Discover Pharmacy will give you an opportunity to talk with current pharmacy students, faculty, deans and working pharmacists. The camp combines fun and learning to introduce you to pharmacy’s dynamic blend of science and patient care.

You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at pharmacy through hands-on lab activities, including:
– making cough drops using compounding
– training to use lifesaving naloxone
– examining drug formulations and dissolution
– creating aromatherapy-infused lip balm
– intravenous medication preparation
– taking a blood pressure reading and its importance
– getting out of a pharmacy escape room

You’ll also learn how to prepare for and apply to the Nesbitt School of Pharmacy, get a glimpse at life as a pharmacy student at Wilkes, and hear about the variety of rewarding career paths available to pharmacists.
