Why Study Mathematics at Wilkes?
The mathematics department at ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥appis small, and so are the classes. The focus is mentorship, with faculty working one-on-one with you to determine your career goals and to focus on mathematical areas of interest to you.
The ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥appmathematics program gives you the option of three different tracks to pursue. The standard track will prepare you for graduate study, research and careers in industry or government; the computational track is if you have an interest in computer science; and teacher certification prepares you to teach mathematics in secondary school. All three tracks share a common core of study in discrete mathematics, analysis, probability, and statistics.
